Participant preferences, education needs, and ethical and social implications will be studied throughout the 5 year period. These groups are made up of scientists, government officials, public health experts, law enforcement representatives, and others using their diverse … Member sites include: Click on each site below for more information: Click on the site below for more information: The Center for Applied Genomics (CAG) is a specialized Center of Emphasis at the Childrenâs Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) with the primary goal of translating basic research findings to medical innovations. Dr. Orlando and her co-investigators received notice last week from the NIH National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) that they are recipients, along with teams from Vanderbilt and the Broad Institute, of a new award, one to function jointly as the coordinating center for eMERGE. The Mt. Each center participating in the consortium is uniquely situated to provide critical resources to this highly collaborative and productive network. Phenotyping: Cohort Discovery Using EHR Data, Patient and Provider Information & Outcomes, Kim Doheny, PhD – Johns Hopkins University, Katrina Goddard, PhD – Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research, Stanley Huff, MD – Intermountain Healthcare, Lisa Parker, MD – University of Pittsburgh, John Witte, PhD – University of California San Francisco, Clesson Turner, MD – Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. We believe that all people should have the chance to live rich, interesting, and fulfilling lives. To meet the needs of the Network, the CC continues to serve NHGRI, the Network, and its members in all coordination, communication, and collaboration functions while providing a nationally visible home for eMERGE authored tools and scientific productivity. NOT-HG-19-023 Notice of Pre-Application Webinars for The Electronic Medical Records and Genomics (eMERGE) Genomic Risk Assessment and Management Network, Clinical Sites (RFA-HG-19-013), Enhanced Diversity Clinical Sites (RFA-HG-19-014), and Coordinating Center (RFA-HG-, eMERGE Genomics Risk Assessment and Management Network. The EMERGE Network develops, disseminates, and applies approaches to research that combine biorepositories with electronic medical record systems for genomic discovery and genomic medicine implementation research. Over the phases of eMERGE, Northwestern has applied this interdisciplinary approach to study the feasibility, utility, outcomes, and effectiveness of EHR-linked genomic information as a member of the network. To strengthen the evaluation of race-specific genomic risk, we bring an additional cohort of over 25,000 AAs. eMERGE Phase I (September 2007 - July 2011) included five study investigator sites and an administrative coordinating center within one of these sites. The mission of CAG is to develop new and better ways to diagnose and treat children affected by rare and complex medical disorders. A unique contribution to the Network will include CCHMC funded low read depth coverage (LRDC) whole genome sequencing data for at least 30,000 individuals along with phenotyping data for further discovery research and comparison of PRS derived from LRDC and commercially available genotyping arrays for Network selected phenotypes. Vanderbilt University Medical Center has been the coordinating center of the eMERGE Network since inception. Investigators of funded research projects and the coordinating center will be expected to participate in this consortium, engage in efforts to optimize synergy across projects, and to collaborate in pilot projects that may emerge within the consortium. We have developed highly specific machine learning algorithms for e-phenotypes and implemented eMERGE algorithms for multiple phenotypes and have considerable experience in developing decision support tools and analyzing outcomes that can be leveraged to study the integration of PRS data into clinical practice. Columbia University in partnership with the NewYork-Presbyterian hospital has a long and strong tradition of patient-centered research and community engagement by serving a socioeconomically, racially, and ethnically diverse community in the urban, medically underserved communities of Washington Heights and Harlem in Northern Manhattan, and has established Precision Medicine as a major university-wide initiative (PMI), of which eMERGE is a vital program. By combining expertise in informatics and EHR integration with innovative return-of-results strategies rooted in behavior theory, Northwestern aims to provide valuable data on accuracy, utility, and uptake of genetic risk assessment as the field moves towards integrating genetic risk scores into clinical practice. We will test the hypothesis that health-care providers will alter their surveillance and treatment of participants based on electronic clinical decision support (eCDS) of Risk Insight Reports. Presently, the VCC continues to provide coordinating center support for investigator-initiated trials and repositories led by Vanderbilt University Medical Center … Vanderbilt University Medical Center has been the coordinating center of the eMERGE Network since inception. We are a small independent team (a couple) based in the South Burnett. The people of NDEWS include the Coordinating Center (CC) staff at CESAR UMCP, the members of the Scientific Advisory Group (SAG), the Sentinel Community Epidemiologists, the members of the NDEWS Network, and the NIDA Project Scientist.
