The important thing is that Paradise Towers doesn’t dismiss (or clarify) the case of mistaken identity as quickly is it might. An entire generation grows up without any parents to help guide them. Paradise Towers feels a lot more comfortable with itself, not feeling the need to assert how grim this dystopia is. While it features cannibalism, it steers clear of the grimness of stories like The Two Doctors or Revelation of the Daleks. They shamelessly eavesdrop, and tell on each other with terrible consequences as secrets spill out from the windows.
